The Formula 1 races are a huge event in Abu Dhabi. People come from all over the world to see the races.There are after race concerts for each of the four race nights. The first Abu Dhabi Grand Prix was held in 2009, these unique After-Race Concerts have been held in the Du Arena. Crowds of up to 35,000 people attend the after race concerts partying after the long race day, though many just attend the concerts. Each Abu Dhabi Grand Prix After-Race Concert  includes  four headliners, one each night from Thursday to Sunday. There are a variety of international superstars from the rock, pop, and rap genres. In 2009 Beyoncé, Kings of Leon, Aerosmith, and Jamiroquai all dazzled the crowd at the first Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi F1TM Grand Prix After-Race Concerts. It established the standard for future performances, with Prince, Kanye West, and Linkin Park continuing the trend in 2010. Since then multiple huge music artists have performed at the F1TM after race concerts. Award-winning singer-songwriters Lewis Capaldi , Khalid, the Foo Fighters, and rap artist Stormzy were the 2021 headliners for the after race concerts .

This year’s after race concerts will start on the 17th of November this year’s artists are rappers Usher and Dave on Thursday, on Friday Swedish house mafia will perform and on Saturday Kendrik Lamar will be taking to the stage. Finally, Def Leppard will finish off the after race concerts. Ammar Aly, (Grade 12) attended the concerts and said that his favorite concert was Swedish House Mafia but that they were all great.
